Slice and pare 8 medium apples. Mix
with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Place in a buttered casserole
dish. Fill dish 3/4 full. Mix 1 cup of sugar and 3/4
cup flour. Add 7 tablespoons of butter. Work with fork
to make crumbly. Spread over apples, patting gently
to make even and firm. Pour 1/2 cup of water in dish
and bake at 350 degrees, uncovered, for 30 minutes.
Serve hot or cold over favorite Tamar Valley yoghurt.
